The winery buildings of the Garden of Xinaras, in which grapes found exclusively on the Cycladic islands are vinified, incorporate the principles of sustainable design.
On the island of Tinos, the buildings of small-scale manufacturing and farming facilities have to conform to special restrictions. The architectural composition has the harmonious integration into the local vineyard and in the traditional built environment of Tinos as a priority.
The winery’s buildings create a complex of three independent volumes, in reference to the small stone buildings we discover around the islands that have been build gradually over time according to the needs of their occupants. Each building houses one of the winery’s sequential production phases.
